the Landing
Newly renovated, the Landing is located on the lower level of the Olsen Student Center and is a meeting place where friends, students, and the UMF Community comes together to relax, unwind, study, and participate in events throughout the year. The Landing is a newly renovated multipurpose room with a maximum seating capacity of 145.
The Landing offers a study area, comfortable seating, standard tables and chairs, stage, and a modern multimedia sound and lighting system. During the day, students use the facility as a place to study, relax, or meet up with friends. At night, the Landing transforms into a hub for programs and events such as Thirsty Thursday (a fun alternative to the bar scene), CRC’s Craft Night, WUMF 100.1’s Open Mic Night, UMF Spotlight (music), comedians, crafts, tournaments, and more.
The Landing is managed by student Program Managers and supervised by the Assistant Director for Student Involvement with funding from the University of Maine at Farmington, Student Senate, and Campus Residence Council (CRC)
