Independent Living

Frances Allen Black (sometimes referred to as FAB) is a suite style hall that opened in January 2006 and is our “green” building which means that it is environmentally friendly. FAB is our “Independent Living Community” for students in good social standing. Each suite has a small common area and a bathroom with a shower that students are responsible for cleaning. Laundry facilities are located on each floor as are study and lounge areas. There is a main lounge and kitchenette for student use as well as bicycle storage that is accessible from inside and outside the building. The hall is staffed by two student Community Programming Assistants (CPAs) that serve as resources for the building. This is in contrast to the residence halls which have several Resident Assistants.
